BMI deals with the design and production of sheet metal stamping dies of various types. In addition to the manufacture of dies, BMI is also able to support customers with the processing of samples and small series. In addition to stamping, BMI also offers welding and assembly services for the automotive, oil & gas, agricultural machinery and household appliance sectors.

BMI has purchased their first Gasparini press brake, a 225 ton X-Press Next with a bending length of 4100 mm. The machine is equipped with automatic hydraulic crowning and the Reflex device for compensation of deformations. The backgauge is 5-axis (X-R-Z1-Z2-X6) CNC controlled, with an additional stop on the fingers for increased gauging depth.
We have installed Toolever self-aligning lever-operated quick-release tool adapters, which also allow for fast punch changes thanks to frontal tool insertion. In case of inactivity the press brake automatically goes into standby by switching off the main motor to limit energy waste.
The CNC is a Delem DA-66T, equipped for Tele-Link remote assistance. We have also supplied offline Delem Profile Lite TL 2D software to create bending programs on the PC. This allows the user to test and optimise tooling and sequences without wasting machine time programming from the CNC. On board the CNC we have installed the Industry 4.0 Package developed by our in-house software group. Thanks to this tool we can share information on the batches processed and production times with the factory management system. Together with the Reflex system they form the so-called ‘enabling technologies’ and allow access to the tax and credit facilities available.
