We manufactured a very large guillotine shear for McKinna Sheetmetal, an important Australian company. McKinna was founded in 1955 and is now at the third generation of owners, with more than 50 employees. They can perform but are not limited to: laser cutting, punching, press brake bending, welding, powder coating, and assembly. Their main customers are in the signage, building, architectural, and electronic industries, as well as custom builds. Able to produce one off’s or runs in the thousands in a cost effective way. Working with their customers from concept through design, development to finished product.
Over the last years McKinna bought a 45-ton/1600-mm, a 160-ton/6000-mm, and a 105-ton/3000-mm press brakes, as well as a 4-meter CO4204 shear. They chose us again because of the reliability of our machines, which always worked properly without any problems.
The X-Cut 6006 guillotine shear can cut mild steel plates up to 6 mm thick and stainless steel plates up to 4 mm thick, at a maximum speed of 23 strokes per minute. The backgauge has a 1000-mm stroke and a ±0,05 mm accuracy. This machine stands out because of its rear sheet support, able to automatically stack cut pieces on a pallet.
