Why a third car isn't a replica
Adding a new press brake to an already operational department does not mean doubling capacity. It means redefining the production balance.
In the case of Effediemme, the need was clear:
- manage highly variable production runs
- reduce setup times between different batches
- lighten the load on machines already dedicated to more structured production
The X-press 165/3000 was therefore configured not as a “general-purpose” machine, but as a balancing element within the production system.
Control of creasing and consistency without constant intervention
In an environment where specifications change frequently, time is wasted on corrections.
That is why the machine features:
- E-Reflex compensation system
- Gasparini adaptive crowning
The goal is not only precision, but also to reduce the need for operator intervention between processing steps.

Managing complexity without slowing down
This configuration introduces a 5-axis register (X, R, Z1, Z2, X6).
In practical terms:
- fewer manual repositioning steps
- greater stability when machining non-standard parts
- faster transitions between different geometries
Continuity between projects
One of the main objectives was to reduce downtime. To this end, upper and lower pneumatic clamps and sliding front supports were integrated.
In an already established production line, the benefit is not only speed but also operational consistency across different machines.
Reduced workload for the operator
The machine has been configured to simplify interaction:
- Delem DA-69S CNC
- additional monitor
- Syner-G remote control
- dual foot controls
Not to “add technology,” but to reduce interruptions during the cycle.
Offline Programming
With the introduction of Delem Profile-S 3D, Effediemme can program offline, simulate bends, and avoid machine trials. This is particularly relevant in a multi-machine environment, where machine time is already allocated and must remain available.
Industry 4.0: Integration into an Existing System
Unlike a new installation, here the machine is integrated into an already active ecosystem. For this reason, it is equipped for data collection, process monitoring, and remote support.
The goal is to maintain information continuity across all machines in the department.
Smart Work Distribution
The key point
The real difference isn’t the new machine. It’s how the department changes after it’s introduced.
With this setup, Effediemme can assign existing machines to more stable production runs and use the XP165/3000 for variable codes and frequent setup changes, thereby reducing bottlenecks.
In other words, it not only increases capacity but also improves workload distribution.
