165/3000 press brake for the Slovenian market

For the supply to Talisman d.o.o. (Kranj, Slovenia), we configured a Gasparini XP165/3000 geared towards total deformation control and reduction of set-up times.

Gasparini recently manufactured an X-Press 165/3000 press brake for Talisman d.o.o., a Slovenian company operating in the sheet metal working sector.

The project stems from the customer’s need for a machine capable of guaranteeing constant precision, operational flexibility, and complete control of the bending process, even on complex jobs.

The configuration created for Talisman integrates a series of technical solutions developed by Gasparini to improve accuracy, ergonomics, and productivity, with a particular focus on energy efficiency.

Active deflection management

One of the key elements of the machine is the E-Reflex system, designed to compensate in real time for structural deformations during bending.

This is complemented by Gasparini’s adaptive hybrid crowning, which allows the angle to be kept uniform along the entire length of the bend, even on large pieces.

This combination allows for extremely precise results, minimizing manual corrections and adjustment times.

Energy efficiency and operational sustainability

The press is equipped with the ECO energy saving package, designed to optimize energy consumption during the various stages of operation.

This solution reduces machine consumption without compromising performance and operating speed, contributing to more efficient production management.

Mechanics and extended geometries

To handle parts with large flanges and unconventional geometries, the machine’s physical dimensions have been increased:

  • Open-height and throath: both increased to 500 mm to maximize maneuvering space.
  • Increased stroke: extended to 300 mm.

The machine is equipped with a 5-axis (X, R, Z1, Z2, X6) CNC-controlled backgauge, which allows precise positioning of the part even in the most complex bending sequences. The system also includes:

  • Additional stop on a backgauge reference
  • Two retractable sheet metal supports integrated into the register

These solutions facilitate workpiece handling and help improve process repeatability.

Ergonomics and speed in tool change

To simplify daily operations, the press is equipped with:

  • Gasparini AirSlide upper pneumatic clamping (110 mm) for European-type tools
  • Gasparini lower pneumatic clamping
  • Self-centering bench with 60 mm width

These systems allow for quick and precise tool changes, reducing set-up times.

The machine is also equipped with two sliding front supports, designed to facilitate the handling of parts during machining.

Intuitive control and 3D programming

The heart of the control system is the Delem DA-69S CNC, one of the most advanced numerical controls for bending.

Programming can also be managed using Delem Profile-S 3D offline software, which allows you to simulate the bending process and prepare programs before arriving at the machine, reducing setup times and potential errors.

Security and connectivity

The press is equipped with the DSP-AP laser safety system with PLC, which allows you to work with high safety standards while maintaining high productivity.

The machine also includes:

  • Syner-G remote control
  • Preparation for Tele-Link remote assistance

These solutions facilitate machine management and allow technical support interventions even remotely.
